Case Studies Drainage, Sidewalk ADA Upgrades
Hallandale Beach, Florida
The City of Hallandale Beach had frequent flooding problems due to lack of stormwater storage and positive discharge in one of their residential neighborhoods, located on NW 10th Street just southwest of Dixie Highway and Pembroke Road. SAFEbuilt’s team of professionals stepped in to improve the living quality of the residents by assessing the issues and providing innovative solutions. The innovation was crucial since the City’s budget for the project was partially grant-funded.
Goal
Our mission was to provide solutions for mitigating the flooding and address ADA non-compliant sidewalks within the neighborhood.

Spotlight
Hallandale Beach is located on the southern end of Fort Lauderdale and is home to 41,000+ people. Apart from the City being so near sea level and a hotspot for heavy rain, tropical storms, and hurricanes, the entire region is also surrounded by two main bodies of water, making flooding very common.
Getting help from an experienced company like SAFEbuilt allows the City to take preventative measures to help control floodings and avoid unnecessary expenses related to flood damage. Our team of professionals at Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc., is very proud of the strong partnership with the City of Hallandale Beach, and we believe that our services provide relief and elevation to communities in South Florida and across the country.
