The City of Oakland Park Fire Station #9 is a vital community service hub that incorporates innovative landscape architecture to enhance both functionality and aesthetics. Originally a sub-consultant for ACAI and Associates, the project was completed under Currie, Sowards, and Aguilla Architects (CSA).

Solutions
SAFEbuilt’s Landscape Architecture team took a leading role in creating a landscape design that met both aesthetic and operational needs. The landscape and irrigation plans were developed to provide low-maintenance solutions while ensuring the environment surrounding the fire station supported its daily functions. Our design aimed to integrate drought-tolerant plants, improve water efficiency, and enhance the station’s visual appeal, creating a welcoming space for both the staff and the community.
