Plan Review and Inspections for Miami-Dade College
Expediting Plan Reviews and Inspections with Building Service Teams
Goal
Deliver Expedited Plan Review and Inspections
Result
Delivered all review and inspections ahead of schedule
As an existing customer of SAFEbuilt’s Private Provider Services, Miami-Dade College called upon our experts to deliver consulting services and expedited plan reviews and inspections in support of the Wolfson Student Support Center, as well as the Homestead campus roof replacements.
A five-story building with academic and support spaces, the Wolfson Student Support Center features a food court and general eating area, classrooms, an archival library, a wellness center, and a student life center. SAFEbuilt delivered efficient consulting, plan review, and inspection services related to:
- The creation of 119,000 square feet of classroom space
- The relocation of a construction trailer and temporary power
- The renovation of two classrooms into computer labs
- Achiller plant upgrade
- The installation of a new fan at the Culinary Arts trash room
On the Homestead campus, SAFEbuilt performed expert plan reviews and inspections related to roof replacements on five existing buildings. Our services ensured quick turnarounds for the project without sacrificing safety and accuracy.
By designating primary and alternate teams of plan reviewers and inspectors, in addition to a project manager to oversee construction, SAFEbuilt exceeded project expectations for Miami-Dade College–completing all work ahead of schedule.
